When someone brings up La Liga as a topic of discussion, the first names that instantly spring to mind are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

For nine glorious years, the two superstars lit up the Spanish top-flight with Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

Between 2009 and 2018, rarely a week passed in which Messi and Ronaldo didn’t score or assist a goal.

Most weeks, the pair contributed to multiple goals and that’s why their records in La Liga are firmly in the ‘superhuman’ category.
