The summer transfer window reopens in just three days’ time as clubs in the Premier League and beyond bid to get plenty of early business over the line.
Arsenal are being strongly linked with Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca as well as Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko, though face a fight from Manchester City to keep Bukayo Saka. Leicester playmaker Youri Tielemans is another target and he has been addressing his future.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are trying to wrap up a deal for Scottish sensation Calvin Ramsay and have also entered the race to sign Leeds star Kalvin Phillips, with a further eye on Jude Bellingham. Gareth Bale and Paulo Dybala won’t be signing for Tottenham, and now neither will Alessandro Bastoni it appears.
Mo Salah – as well as Angel Di Maria – could be on his way to Barcelona, with Bayern Munich poised to bid again for top Robert Lewandowski replacement Sadio Mane.
Chelsea are reportedly on the trail of Rafael Leao, Matthijs de Ligt and Ousmane Dembele, while Manchester United have added Denzel Dumfries to an already extensive list of targets that includes Frenkie de Jong, Jurrien Timber and Darwin Nunez.
Further afield, Aurelien Tchouameni looks set to finally join Real Madrid in a deal which could be worth £ 82million.

Robert Lewandowski makes fresh Bayern plea
Robert Lewandowski has made clear his desire to leave Bayern Munich.
Barcelona are the frontrunners to sign the Polish striker, who has a year left to run on his contract in Bavaria.
He told OnetSport: “I only want to leave Bayern. Loyalty and respect are more important than work. The best way is to find a solution together.
“Something has died in me, I want to leave Bayern for more emotions in my life.”
Saul Niguez opens up on Chelsea stint
Saul Niguez has opened up on a tough loan spell at Chelsea as he departs the club.
In a year switch from Atletico Madrid, the Spanish midfielder played 26 games – only ten of which came in the Premier League. In fact, each of his first two league starts ended up being substituted at half-time.
