Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are all lining up big-money deals as the transfer window steps up another gear with a return to pre-season now only days away. Things will likely ramp up with the new campaign in sight once again.
All three London clubs are battling for the signing of Leeds United star Raphinha, with a potential boost coming as Ousmane Dembele reportedly wants to stay at Barcelona, weakening their interest in the Brazilian. Matthijs de Ligt is a defensive target for the Blues. Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, is another to have been linked with the London rivals, although Arsenal appear to be in pole position as talks for the striker progress.
Tottenham have already made three signings this window and reports claim the manager wants a new forward signed before the end of next week with Steven Bergwijn heading to Ajax and Harry Winks in talks with Everton. Spurs target Djed Spence has told Middlesbrough he wants to leave.
Interest in Gil loan
Sampdoria have asked Tottenham if Bryan Gil is available for a loan move.
Fabrizio Romano reports that the Italian side are keen on a move for the 21-year-old, though they would face competition from a number of clubs including Marseille.
No decision has yet been made on the future of Gil, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Valencia.
Carroll close to finding new club
Andy Carroll is close to completing a move to Club Brugges this summer.
The Belgian club are keen to bring the striker in, according to The Daily Mail, with Carroll available on a free transfer after leaving West Brom at the end of his contract.
He is reportedly now in Belgium to finalize a short-term deal and undergo his medical.
Eriksen considering two options
Christian Eriksen is deciding between offers from Brentford and Manchester United, reports Sky Sports.
The midfielder and his family are keen to remain in London, but he is interested in working with Erik ten Hag and the offer from United is also a more lucrative one.
Eriksen joined Brentford at the start of the year and shone for the Bees, as he made his return from the cardiac arrest he suffered last summer at the Euros.
Ziyech involved in Raphinha deal?
Hakim Ziyech may well play a surprise role in Chelsea’s attempts to bring Raphinha to Stamford Bridge.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Blues could include Ziyech in a potential swap deal as Leeds are believed to be extremely interested in the winger.
It’s claimed that it would be a more appealing offer than just a lump sum in the region of £ 55million, as he would provide an ideal replacement for Raphinha.

Marseille remain interested in Saliba
Marseille have reportedly not given up hope of bringing William Saliba back to France.
The center-back looks set to finally be given a chance to prove himself at Arsenal, after a season on loan at Marseille.
Foot Mercato claim that the Ligue 1 side approached the Gunners to inquire about a permanent move for Saliba, but Arsenal are unwilling to sell.
De Ligt not ruling out exit
Matthijs de Ligt’s previous comments about his Juventus future will give Chelsea encouragement of signing the center-back.
The 22-year-old is believed to be attracting interest from the Blues, who are desperate to bolster their defensive ranks this summer following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
“Negotiations are ongoing at the moment and when the time comes I will decide whether to extend or look elsewhere,” De Ligt said earlier this month in an interview with NOS.
“I always look at what is best for me in terms of the sporting project.
“Two consecutive fourth place finishes are not enough, we have to make progress in that direction because these are disappointing results. Juventus are a club that always wants and must become champions. ”

Ronaldo frustrated with Man United’s window
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly less than impressed with what he is seeing from Manchester United so far this transfer window.
Record Portugal claims that while Ronaldo believes in the style of play Erik ten Hag is trying to bring to the club, the lack of action in terms of signings is concerning him.
It’s believed that he wants to be challenging for trophies and will consider his future unless he sees more activity.
Antony wants Man United switch
Antony is pushing for a move to Manchester United this summer.
The winger is keen to join up with Erik ten Hag once again, according to The Times, despite Ajax demanding £ 69 million for the winger in an attempt to put potential buyers off.
United are also interested in Arsenal target Lisandro Martinez, who Ajax value at £ 51.5m.
Eddie Howe reacts to signing of Nick Pope.
“Nick is an exceptional Premier League and international level goalkeeper so I’m very pleased to be adding strong competition to a very important position.
“There has been a lot of interest in him from other clubs this summer, so I’d like to thank our owners and everyone behind the scenes for getting us ahead of the competition.
“I’m delighted he is joining us as we prepare for the exciting challenge ahead.”
