Conte casts doubt over Tottenham future

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is reportedly ready to hijack Manchester United’s move to sign Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Perisic’s failed Premier League move

New Spurs signing Ivan Perisic is finally set to achieve his dream of playing in the Premier League.

The Croatian has previously said he has known since 2009 that he wanted to play in England’s top flight – and then suffered the heartache of his move to Manchester United collapsing a decade later. Perisic said the collapse of the move had been “painful” for him to deal with, and he later signed for Bayern Munich on loan.

With Mourinho leaving United shortly after approaching Perisic over a move, the 33-year-old could be forgiven for thinking he’d missed his big chance – until Antonio Conte brought him to Spurs.
