Thiago Silva drops huge £ 43m Gabriel Jesus Chelsea transfer hint amid Romelu Lukaku loan stance

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has dropped a huge £ 43million Gabriel Jesus transfer hint with what he has done on social media as Romelu Lukaku loan exit rumors intensify.

As well as overseeing a defensive rebuild this summer, new owner Todd Boehly has a precarious and big situation to sort out with club-record signing Lukaku who is reportedly doing everything in his power including taking a pay cut to seal an early return to Inter Milan . The Guardian alongside others have reported that Boehly and Clearlake will not stand in the way of the 29-year-old who is currently out injured after suffering a setback in Belgium’s Nations League defeat to the Netherlands and therefore was not in the squad for the Wednesday night fixture vs Poland.

However, the report goes on to clarify that the move must make financial sense before the Blues give the whole transfer operation a green light. A player swap deal has been touted as a potential way to unlock the situation with the likes of Lautaro Martinez, Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar just a few players that have been suggested as being possible makeweights in this deal. Complications with the former two of the trio with both and even Skriniar to an extent wanting an Inter stay this summer means that both parties may have to get creative to find the solution in this complicated situation. One that could still see Chelsea’s number 9 stay put for at least another season.

But if the positive outcome was to come to fruition for both with Lukaku being granted his dream move once more, the Blues and Boehly will need to have a contingency plan in place if they are to move on swiftly from this nearly £ 100m transfer mistake.

Amid rumors that Armando Broja could be promoted to share the role alongside Kai Havertz, it seems as though external options will take precedent as Chelsea aim to make a statement to counteract Man City’s Erling Haaland signing and Liverpool’s potential scoop of Benfica star Darwin Nunez.

The current World Champions reportedly plan to make this statement of intent by launching a £ 43m assault to rival Arsenal for City star Gabriel Jesus, who is expected to be shown the exit door by Pep Guardiola this summer to compensate for the arrivals of Haaland and youngster Julian Alvarez respectively.

This is according to Goal whose report goes on to clarify that Jesus would come in to directly replace the want away Belgian star and Serie A MVP winner of 2020/21 who made his intentions well known as early as January 2022 with his explosive Sky Italia interview which came on the eve of an important Premier League clash against Liverpool.

Despite the Blues ‘willingness to join the race to sign the 25-year-old Brazilian star, it is still understood that Edu’s relationship with Jesus’ camp means that they are still very much the favorites in this race – this was a statement transfer guru Fabrizio Romano echoed on his latest video transfer.

Nevertheless, Chelsea have shown in the past that they can upset their London rivals and hijack deals, like when they signed Willian under the noses of Tottenham.

And if Silva’s activity is anything to go by, then maybe Boehly and his board are planning the same thing on the red side of North London this time around. This is because the veteran defender liked a post on Instagram by a Chelsea News account reporting on the Jesus to Chelsea rumors. For further context, the former Paris Saint-Germain mainstay has liked tweets linking Ousmane Dembele to Chelsea. Is agent Thiago at it again and does he know something we do not?

We will find out in due course but he could potentially help the Blues gain an edge over Arsenal in this race if he is able to talk to the striker in question over the next few days and weeks on international duty.
