Aubameyang told Hayters TV after Chelsea’s disappointing 1-1 draw with RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Wednesday night: ‘Everyone knows the relationship that I had with Thomas. It’s always sad when someone leaves the club. Obviously, I just saw him for a few days.
‘When you play football you have to adapt very quickly to some moments in the season, this can happen.
‘I think he was a bit frustrated and sad, obviously. I will try to talk to him as soon as possible. It’s been a crazy week for all of us, that’s part of life, we have to adapt.

In 95 games under Tuchel at Dortmund, the former Arsenal and Barcelona speedster netted 79 times and assisted a further 17 in possibly the Gabon international’s most fruitful partnership.
Aubameyang is yet to score a goal for his new side since his arrival, having played 125 minutes in the Champions League, but assisted Raheem Sterling’s opener against Salzburg.

Tuchel himself said he was ‘devastated’ that his time at Chelsea had come to an end.
‘This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start,’ he said.
‘The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever.
‘I am honored to have been a part of this club’s history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart.’
