Arsenal players are set to return for pre-season training next week as Mikel Arteta prepares his squad for the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

There will be a few players that will arrive later due to taking part in international fixtures earlier this month, but most of the squad will be back very soon.

The Gunners start their pre-season schedule with a trip to Germany to face FC Nurnburg.

They then fly to the USA for a tour, where they will play two Premier League sides and compete in the Florida Cup.

Arsenal will play their London rivals Chelsea as well as Everton before they head back to the UK and host Sevilla.

The Spanish side are regular winners of the Europa League, so they should provide some stern opposition for the Gunners in their only pre-season game at the Emirates.

Arsenal’s pre-season schedule

FC Nurnburg – Friday, July 8, 16:30 – Max-Morlock Stadion, Nurenberg

Everton – Saturday, July 16, 15:00 – M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore

Orlando City – Wednesday, July 20, TBC – Exploria Stadium, Orlando

Chelsea – Saturday, July 23, TBC – Camping World Stadium, Orlando

Sevilla – Saturday, July 30, 12:30 – Emirates Stadium, London

Overall, this looks like a good pre-season for Arteta’s side, and they will hope to have a few more signings through the door by the time they fly to America.

Then just six days after playing Sevilla, Arsenal kick off the 2022/23 Premier League campaign with a trip to Crystal Palace.

They host Leicester the weekend after before a trip to Bournemouth on August 20.
