Erik ten Hag: No ‘risk’ to come to Manchester United

Marcus Rashford was persuaded to stay at Manchester United this summer after speaking with former teammate Daley Blind about Erik ten Hag’s methods.

The England international endured possibly his most difficult campaign at Old Trafford last season as he struggled to force his way back into the first-team after returning to full fitness following shoulder surgery a year ago. That had led to the forward considering his future at the club, although a conversation with former Red Devils defender Daley Blind about Erik ten Hag’s style and coaching methods reportedly convinced him to stay.

It comes after the reason United fell behind in the race to sign Darwin Nunez has been revealed – after a meeting set up with Benfica president Rui Costa in April never took place after the Portugal legend suffered from food poisoning. And former Liverpool target Talles Magno is a player who would thrive with new boss Erik ten Hag’s playing style.

Here are Mirror Football’s latest Manchester United headlines.

Talles Magno scouting report

Brazilian youngster Talles Magno could thrive under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.

The Brazilian has been in impressive form since joining New York City from Vasco da Gama in 2021. He’s previously been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, but is the sort of player who could thrive under Ten Hag.

And given Ten Hag’s record of developing young talents, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see United swoop for the youngster in the future, and Mirror Football has run the rule over the Brazilian’s strengths and weaknesses to analyze the potential switch.
