The Times reported that a number of fireworks were set off outside the Titanic hotel in Liverpool at 1.45am, where Klopp’s side were staying.
Merseyside Police attended following a number of reports, one man was spoken to and taken home.
It is the latest in a string of fireworks incidents being let off outside team hotels before crunch fixtures.
Videos circulated on social media of pyrotechnics being set off outside Chelsea’s hotel before their clash with Everton, which the Toffees went on to win.
Similar reports were also made before Everton’s clash with Crystal Palace this week, but the Eagles opted to fly up to Merseyside on the day of the game.

There are yet to be any reports that it disturbed the Liverpool players before their game with the Wolves.
“Imagine somebody tells you before the season, you’re going to be in all three cup finals and want to fight for the league,” Klopp said ahead of the Wolves’ visit.
“You would say ‘Yeah, good luck with that’. It’s actually not possible but the boys did it – fed by the people here in the building (training ground), by our supporters, by all these kind of things.
“It’s been tough but great. It’s absolutely a joy to be part of it. Being part of this group is exceptional. By the group, I mean not only the players, we are here in the building of the group. It’s insane.
“Working together with these people is a pure joy. Being where we are is so rare, you can not plan it.
“It’s a fantastic time for a Liverpool supporter and now we have to make sure we enjoy the last two games as well.
“The most enjoyable thing in football is winning football games, that makes everything much easier.
“Two massive games to come, one directly on Sunday, and we have to make sure we are ready for that.”
